Working-Platform Voltage Monitoring

Type 12125, Positive Voltage on catenary

Description

This device was developed especially for the monitoring of catenary sections in depots (workshops), and serves to monitor the switching status of isolator S1 (see wiring diagram) and visually display and / or trigger a control function.

For the two positions of isolator S1, the following switching states of the outputs result:

  • Isolator S1 closed and driving voltage available: (see wiring diagram 3.270103.101): In this case, the catenary / busbar is under voltage. Output 2-3 switched (or K4 dropped).
  • Isolator S1 opened and driven in earth contact: (see wiring diagram 3.270103.101A): In this case, the catenary / busbar is de-energized. Output 2-1 switched (or K4 energized).

Functional description

Condition 1:

If the disconnector is closed and voltage is present, it is connected to the voltage indicator relay, Type 8539: K1, K2 at terminals 12,14.

The relay K2 receives ist supply voltage from the 230V AC mains and the output changer contact of K2 is closed between terminals 2, 3. Relay K1 receives its supply voltage at terminal 19, 20 of transformer Tr1.

Its output contact is closed between terminal 1, 2. Relay K3 is not energized, K3 controls the connected lamps (red) or control functions (K4) via the output terminals 1, 2.

Condition 2:

If the disconnector is open and not in earth position, then a voltage> 10V is applied to the voltage signaling relay K1, K2 at the terminals 12, 14 (transformer voltage).

K2 receives its supply voltage from the 230V AC mains and the output changer contact of K2 is closed between terminals 2, 3. K1 receives its supply voltage at terminal 19, 20 from transformer Tr1.

Its output contact is closed between terminal 1, 2. Relay K3 is not energized, K3 controls the connected lamps (red) or control functions (K4) via the output terminals 1, 2.

Condition 3:

If the disconnector is open and in earth position, then a voltage U (R1 / R2) <10V is applied to the voltage signaling relay K1 at the terminals 12, 14.

K1 receives a supply voltage at terminal 19, 20 from transformer Tr1. The transformer Tr1 can drive a current of about 1A across the resistors R1 / R2, the ground contact and the diode D1.

This current causes a voltage drop at the resistors R1 // R2. The measuring voltage of K1 at terminal 14, 12 <10V.

The output changer contact of K1 is closed between terminal 2, 3. K2 receives its supply voltage from the 230V AC supply and the output changer contact of K2 is closed between terminals 1, 2. Relay K3 is energized. K2, K3 control the connected lamps (green) or control functions (K4) via the output terminals 2, 3.
